Arthur Miller University Professorship Lecture
New York University Office of the Provost in conjunction with NYU School of Law and NYU School of Continuing and Professional Studies invite you to Professor Arthur Miller’s Inaugural University Professorship Lecture.
Professor Miller will discuss “Are They Closing the Courthouse Doors?” The effectiveness of the many rights and legal protections Americans enjoy depends on our civil courts employing procedures that are justice seeking, provide citizen access, and promote a level litigation playing field. But in the last 25 years procedural changes have turned away from those objectives, debilitating a number of our most important public policies undermining the vitality of our rights and, indirectly, the quality of our lives.
